Before You Buy

Buyer Considerations in Leander

  • Ask whether the property is in a MUD or PID and get the full tax rate; it can differ between phases of the same community.
  • Check HOA dues and rules for the specific section, not just the community name.
  • Check FEMA flood maps for the lot.
  • Confirm whether the property is inside the city limits or the extraterritorial jurisdiction.

Local Perspective

In large Leander communities, phases can differ in lot size, HOA fees and MUD or PID taxes, so compare by section. Do not assume an easy commute; test the drive or train trip from the specific address.
